This week Serena and I had a 4 hour meeting with Marc from 1:30pm-5:30pm on Monday 9/19 planning for the HAPO field trips, searching for images, collecting literature, and planning for Wednesday 9/21/22 (12:15-5:00pm) in Halibut Cove Lagoon. Serena and I spent Monday and Tuesday reading through the literature shared with us from Marc like the harbor porpoise ID guide written by Cindy. Wednesday 9/21/22 was a pretty successful HAPO day with a cow and calf pair and a couple other individuals.

This weekend 9/24 (11:00-4:30pm) and 9/25 (12:30-6:00pm) were our HAPO group field trip days. We were able to get multiple ID photos of individuals and a cow and calf pair possibly seen at both the lagoon and McDonald's spit. I was also able to photograph a mating event (attached below). One of the harbor porpoises had a circular marking that resembled the fungal infections found on the sea lions.
